生命之道
论到从起初原有的生命之道，路加福音第十章25－28节说：有一个律法师起来试探耶稣，说：“老师，我该做什么才可以承受永生？”耶稣对他说：“律法上写的是什么？你是怎样念的呢？”他回答说：“你要尽心、尽性、尽力、尽意爱主—你的 神，又要爱邻如己。”耶稣对他说：“你回答得正确，你这样做就会得永生。”
路加福音第十八章18－25节说：有一个官问耶稣说：“善良的老师，我该作什么事才能承受永生？”耶稣对他说：“你为什么称我是善良的？除了 神一位之外，再没有善良的。诫命你是知道的：‘不可奸淫；不可杀人；不可偷盗；不可做假见证；当孝敬父母。’“那人说：“这一切我从小都遵守了。”耶稣听见了，就对他说：“你还缺少一件：要变卖你一切所有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；你还要来跟从我。”他听见这些话，就很忧愁，因为他很富有。耶稣见他变得很忧愁，就说：“有钱财的人进 神的国是何等的难哪！骆驼穿过针眼比财主进 神的国还容易呢！”
马太福音第五章43－48节说：“你们听过有话说：‘要爱你的邻舍，恨你的仇敌。’但是我告诉你们：要爱你们的仇敌，为那迫害你们的祷告。这样，你们就可以做天父的儿女了。因为他叫太阳照好人，也照坏人；降雨给义人，也给不义的人。你们若只爱那爱你们的人，有什么赏赐呢？就是税吏不也是这样做吗？你们若只请你弟兄的安，有什么比别人强呢？就是外邦人不也是这样做吗？所以，你们要完全，如同你们的天父是完全的。”
在《旧约》里告诉以色列人及其先祖遵守的是律法，首先给亚当和夏娃的律法是不可吃智慧树上的果子。然后告诉他们的儿子该隐不可杀人。随着犯罪的增多，律法也越来越多。到了摩西时代就有了《旧约》的律法。我们知道律法本是好的，律法是用来惩戒犯罪的，人不应该违反律法。但是人们却不能遵守律法，这是因为人们心里的恶念。就像我们知道偷盗或作假见证是违法的，但是我们心里的贪念和虚荣却驱使我们去做违法的事。所以就像《旧约》预言的那样人们要在思想上洁净，从心灵里除掉恶念。
耶利米书第三十一章31-33节说：看那，日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约。这是耶和华说的。这约不像是我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及地的时侯与他们所立的约。我虽作他们的丈夫，他们却背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的新约是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上。我要作他们的 神，他们要作我的子民。这是耶和华说的。
以西结书第三十六章24-27节说：我必从列国带领你们，从列邦聚集你们，领你们回到本地。我必洒清水在你们身上，你们就洁净了。我要洁净你们，使你们脱离一切的污秽，弃绝一切的偶像。我也要赐给你们一颗新心，将新灵放在你们里面，又从你们肉体中除掉石心，赐给你们肉心。我必将我的灵放在你们里面，使你们顺从我的律例，遵守遵行我的典章。
这预言就是《新约》耶稣传讲的爱，两条最大的诫命就是你要尽心、尽性、尽力、尽意爱主—你的 神，又要爱邻如己。人如果有了爱就在律法之上，不再受律法的约束。就像一个充满爱的人不会再想到偷盗或做假见证，而是有怜恤人的心，当看到一个人没有吃的就会给这人吃的，没有穿的就会给这人衣服。律法是为了惩戒人准备的，不会有人说没有偷盗过要得到奖赏。爱是我们得到的恩典，爱让我们获得永生。
罗马书第十三章8－10节说：你们除了彼此相爱，对任何人都不可亏欠什么，因为那爱人的就成全了律法。那不可奸淫，不可杀人，不可偷盗，不可贪婪，或别的诫命，都包括在“爱邻如己”这一句话之内了。爱是不对邻人作恶，所以爱就成全了律法。
我要探究天下所学之道本为一。但对一个字的不同理解，各经文的意义会相差甚远。
论到圣经中的十诫“不可杀人”，马太福音第五章21-22节说：“你们听过有话对古人说：‘不可杀人’；‘凡杀人的，必须受审判。’但是我告诉你们：凡向弟兄动怒的，必须受审判；凡骂弟兄是废物的，必须受议会的审判；凡骂弟兄是白痴的，必须遭受地狱的火。”
如果我们做到不向弟兄动怒且爱人如己，就不再受诫命“不可杀人”的约束。
道德经第四十九章说：善者，吾善之；不善者，吾亦善之，徳善。信者，吾信之，不信者，吾亦信之，徳信。第六十三章说：报怨以徳。第三十一章说：夫兵者，不祥之器，物或恶之，故有道者不处。君子居则贵左，用兵则贵右。兵者不祥之器，非君子之器，不得已而用之，恬淡为上，胜而不美，而美之者，是乐杀人。夫乐杀人者，则不可得志于天下矣。吉事尚左，凶事尚右。偏将军居左，上将军居右。言以丧礼处之。杀人之众，以悲哀莅之，战胜以丧礼处之。
这里清楚地说：有道者和君子不参加战争。对于其他人，如果穷追“不得已而用之”的意思可能得到不同的结论。但是如果一个将上战场的人知道战争结束后要参加如同为亲人或邻舍举办的葬礼，就没有任何理由参加战争。
道德经第七十九章说：和大怨，必有余怨，安可以为善？是以圣人执左契，而不责于人。有德司契，无德司彻。天道无亲，常与善人。
圣人虽然知道有人冒犯或亏欠了自己，并且掌握充分的证据，但也不责怪那人或向其追讨。
六祖坛经决疑品第三说：使君东方人，但心净即无罪；虽西方人，心不净亦有愆。东方人造罪，念佛求生西方，西方人造罪，念佛求生何国？凡愚不了自性，不识身中净土，愿东愿西，悟人在处一般，所以佛言，随所住处恒安乐。使君心地但无不善，西方去此不遥；若怀不善之心，念佛往生难到。今劝善知识，先除十恶，即行十万，后除八邪，乃过八千，念念见性，常行平直，到如弹指，便睹弥陀。
六祖坛经决疑品第三说：善知识，常行十善，天堂便至；除人我，须弥倒；去邪心，海水竭；烦恼无，波浪灭；毒害忘，鱼龙绝。自心地上觉性如来，放大光明。外照六门清净，能破六欲诸天，自性内照，三毒即除，地狱等罪，一时消灭。内外明彻，不异西方。不作此修，如何到彼？
六祖坛经决疑品第三说：师言：“吾与大众说无相颂，但依此修，常与吾同处无别。若不作此修，剃发出家，于道何益！颂曰：心平何劳持戒？行直何用修禅？恩则孝养父母，义则上下相怜。让则尊卑和睦，忍则众恶无喧。若能钻木取火，淤泥定生红莲。苦口的是良药，逆耳必是忠言。改过必生智慧，护短心内非贤。日用常行饶益，成道非由施钱。菩提只向心觅，何劳向外求玄？听说依此修行，天堂只在目前。”
十善的第一善为“不杀生”。关于什么是“不杀生”，已探讨争论千年。我这样的凡夫如果痴迷于知道何为生，可能要到学校学习生物课了。或心生异念妄解什么是“不杀生”就要走入邪途。
六祖坛经自序品第一说：惠能后至曹溪，又被恶人寻逐。乃于四会，避难猎人队中，凡经一十五载，时与猎人随宜说法。猎人常令守网。每见生命，尽放之。每至饭时，以菜寄煮肉锅。或问，则对曰：但吃肉边菜。
惠能理解的“不杀生”就是“不可杀人”。惠能虽有慈悲怜悯之心，放生捉到的猎物和不吃捉到的猎物，但也吃肉边菜而不愿猎人因吃的食物感觉羞愧。
我们不能痴迷，也不可自欺。罗马书第十四章20-23节说：不可因食物毁坏 神的工作。一切都是洁净的，但有人因食物使人跌倒，这在他就是恶了。无论是吃肉是喝酒，是什么别的事，使弟兄跌倒，一概不作，才是善的。你有信心，就要在 神面前持守。人能在自己以为可行的事上不自责就有福了。若有人疑惑而吃的，就被定罪。因为他吃不是出于信心。凡不出于信心的都是罪。
摩西律法规定不可吃不洁净的食物（利未记第十一章），但耶稣基督是要我们心里洁净。约翰福音第一章17节说：律法是籍着摩西颁布的；恩典和真理却是由耶稣基督来的。
马可福音第七章18-23节说：耶稣对他们说：“你们也是这样不明白吗？难道你们不了解，凡从外面进去的不能玷污人吗？因为不是进入他的心，而是进入他的肚子，又排入厕所。”（这是说，各样的食物都是洁净的。）耶稣又说：“从人里面出来的，那才玷污人；因为从人心里发出种种恶念，如淫乱、偷盗、凶杀、奸淫、贪婪、邪恶、诡诈、淫荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、狂妄。这一切的恶都是从里面出来，且能玷污人。”
路加福音第十一章40-41节说：无知的人哪！造外面的，不也造了里面吗？只要把杯盘里面的施舍给人，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。
路加福音第十七章20-21节说：法利赛人问：“ 神的国几时来到？”耶稣回答：“ 神的国来到，不是眼睛看得见的。人也不能说：’看哪，在这里！‘或说：’在那里！‘因为 神的国就在你们心里。”
约翰福音第四章23-24节说：时候将到，现在就是了。那真正敬拜父的，要用心灵和诚实敬拜他，因为父要这样的人敬拜他。 神是灵，所以敬拜他的必须用心灵和诚实敬拜他。
马太福音第七章1-2节说：＂你们不要评断别人，免得你们被审判。因为你们怎样评断别人，也必怎样被审判；你们用什么量器量给人，也必用什么量器量给你们。“
哥林多前书第四章1-6节说：人应该把我们看为基督的执事，为 神的奥秘的管家。所求于管家的，是要他忠心。我被你们评断，或被别人评断，我都以为是极小的事；我连自己也不评断自己。虽然我不觉得自己有错，却也不能因此判为无罪；审判我的是主。所以，时候未到，在主来以前什么都不要评断，他要照出暗中的隐情，揭发人的动机。那时，各人要从 神那里得着称赞。弟兄们，为你们的缘故，我拿这些事应用到我自己和亚波罗身上。让你们从我们学到“不可过于圣经所记”这话的意思。免得你们自高自大，看重这个，看轻那个。使你与人不同的是谁呢？你所有的有哪一个不是领受的呢？若是领受的，为何自夸，仿佛不是领受的呢？
如果一个人持守“扫地不伤蝼蚁命，爱惜飞蛾纱罩灯。”或为持守诫命远遁深山，我不能论断这人。
耶利米书第三十五章13-14节说：“万军之耶和华—以色列的 神如此说：你去对犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民说，你们不肯领受训诲，听从我的话吗？这是耶和华说的。利甲的儿子约拿达所吩咐他子孙不可喝酒的话，他们已经遵守了；他们因为听从祖先的吩咐。直到今日都不喝酒。至于我，我一再警戒你们，你们却不肯听从我。我一再差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，说：‘你们各人当回头离开恶道，改正行为，不再随从事奉别神，如此，就必住在我所赐给你们和你们祖先的地上。’只是你们不侧耳而听。也不听我。利甲的儿子约拿达的子孙能遵守祖先所吩咐他们的命令，这百姓却不肯听从我！“
耶利米书第三十五章18-19节说：耶利米对利甲族的人说：”万军之耶和华—以色列的 神如此说：因你们听从你们先祖约拿达的吩咐，谨守他的一切命令，照他所吩咐的去做。所以万军之耶和华—以色列的 神如此说：利甲的儿子约拿达必永不断有人侍立在我面前。”
耶利米书第十六章1-2节说：耶和华的话又临到我，说：“你不可在这地方娶妻，为自己生儿育女。”
哥林多前书第九章5节说：难道我们没有权利带着信主的妻子一起出入，如同其余的使徒，和主的弟兄们，和矶法一样吗？
我们不能根据上面经文就断定圣经不让我们喝酒或先知和使徒不能结婚。
马太福音第十九章8-11节说：耶稣说：“摩西因为你们的心硬，所以准许你们休妻。但起初并不是这样。我告诉你们，凡休妻另娶的，若不是为不贞的缘故，就是犯奸淫了。”门徒对耶稣说：“丈夫和妻子的关系既是这样，倒不如不娶。”耶稣对他们说：“这话不是人人都能领受的，惟独赐给谁，谁才能领受。因为有从母腹里就是不宜结婚的，也有因人为的缘故不宜结婚的，并有为天国的缘故自己不结婚的。这话谁能领受，就领受吧。”
马太福音第十一章28-30节说：凡劳苦担重担的人都到我这里来，我要使你们得安息。我心里柔和谦卑，你们当负我的轭，向我学习；这样，你们的心灵就必得安息。因为我的轭是容易的，我的担子是轻省的。
约翰福音第八章31-36节说：耶稣对信他的犹太人说：“你们若继续遵守我的道，就真是我的门徒了。你们将认识真理，真理会使你们自由。”他们回答他：“我们是亚伯拉罕的后裔，从来没有作过谁的奴隶，你怎么说‘会使你们自由’呢？”耶稣回答他们：“我实实在在地告诉你们，所有犯罪的人就是罪的奴隶。奴隶不能永远住在家里；儿子才永远住在家里。所以， 神的儿子若使你们自由，你们就真正自由了。”
约翰一书第四章7-8节说：亲爱的，我们要彼此相爱。因为爱是从 神来的。凡有爱的都是由 神而生，并且认识 神。没有爱的就不认识 神。因为 神就是爱。
约翰一书第五章2-3节说：我们爱 神，又实行他的命令，由此就知道我们爱 神的儿女了。我们遵守 神的命令，这就是爱他了。而且他的命令并不是难守的。
雅各书第二章12-17节说：既然你们要按使人自由的律法受审判，就要照这律法说话行事。因为对那不怜悯人的，他们要受没有怜悯的审判；怜悯胜过审判。我的弟兄们，若有人说自己有信心，却没有行为，有什么益处呢？这信心能救他吗？若是弟兄或是姐妹没有衣服穿，又缺少日用的饮食；你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么益处呢？信心也是这样，若没有行为是死的。
歌林多前书第十三章说：我若能说人间的方言，甚至天使的语言，却没有爱，我就成为鸣的锣、响的钹一般。我若有先知讲道的能力，也明白各样的奥秘，各样的知识。而且有齐备的信心，使我能够移山，却没有爱，我就算不得什么。我若将所有的财产救济穷人，又牺牲自己的身体让人夸赞，却没有爱，仍然对我无益。爱是恒久忍耐，又有恩慈；爱是不嫉妒，爱是不自夸，不张狂，不作害羞的事，不求自己的益处，不轻易发怒，不计算人的恶，不喜欢不义，只喜欢真理；凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。爱是永不止息。先知讲道之能，终必归于无有；说方言之能终必停止；知识也终必归于无有。我们现在所知道的有限，先知所讲的也有限，等那完全的来到，这有限的必消逝。我作孩子的时候，说话像孩子，心思像孩子，意念像孩子；既长大成人，就把孩子的事丢弃了。我们现在是对着镜子观看，模糊不清；到那时，就要面对面了。我如今所认识的有限，到那时就全认识，如同主认识我一样。如今常存的有信，有望，有爱这三样，其中最大的是爱。
